Greg Sweeney

With over two decades of experience in the travel industry, Greg Sweeney has built a career around driving growth through strategic partnerships and innovative business development. Since joining BCD Travel in 2022 as vice president of Global Sales, he has focused on strengthening strategic client relationships and advancing awareness of BCD’s global product offerings.

Prior to BCD, Greg held leadership roles at Egencia as Global Sales Manager and at S.R. Travel – a BCD affiliate – where he served as Director of Strategic Partnerships. His travel industry journey began at Avis Budget Group, where he spent six years managing key accounts as a Senior Account Manager.

Greg has been an active leader in the business travel community, serving on the Bay Area Business Travel Association Board of Directors for over 14 years, including two terms as President in 2016 and 2017. He holds an MBA in Management, is a certified Global Travel Professional via GBTA, and was honored with GBTA’s Business Travel Professional Service Award in 2018.

A passionate outdoor adventurer, Greg enjoys cycling, skiing, open water swims, and hiking. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and three daughters.
