BCD Travel has once again secured the highest rating from EcoVadis—Platinum—for the sixth year in a row. This places us in the top 1% of over 150,000 organizations assessed globally for their environmental, social, and ethical performance.
Driving impact through action
This continued recognition reflects BCD’s deep commitment to sustainability. Over the past year, we have implemented several impactful initiatives, including:
- A new supplier due diligence process
- Increased use of renewable electricity across offices
- Launch of a comprehensive sustainability solution for clients
A sustainability strategy built for long-term success
“Achieving Platinum for the sixth year in a row is a testament to the dedication of our teams around the world and our commitment to integrating sustainable goals into our 2030 Blueprint for Success, BCD’s guiding business strategy,” said Olivia Ruggles-Brise, Vice President of Sustainability. “EcoVadis has raised the bar, and rightly so. Their updated scoring principles push companies to go beyond compliance and demonstrate real impact. We’re proud to be recognized for our progress and remain committed to driving meaningful change.”
Progress across key sustainability areas
EcoVadis evaluates companies across four pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Our 2025 Sustainability Report highlights progress in each area:

- 69.3% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and 20.8% reduction in Scope 3 emissions compared to a 2019 baseline
- 33% renewable electricity use in majority-owned markets, with a goal of 100% by 2030
- 97% employee completion of human trafficking awareness training
- 40% of top-spend suppliers assessed using a new due diligence tool
- Launch of an industry-first sustainability solution for carbon calculations, messaging, and carbon fee collection for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and offsetting contributions
Global alignment and future focus
BCD’s efforts align with major global frameworks such as the UN Global Compact, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Science Based Target Initiatives (SBTi), and CDP. BCD’s approach reinforces our position as a responsible travel partner for clients seeking sustainable solutions.
